Another entertaining blitz tournament was held at Seaton Chess Club on 27th March. Paul Hampton from Seaton won the event that had a slightly reduced field of 10. Commendable second went to Nicky Bacon from Sidmouth and Tim Fox won the grading prize.

The 3rd Jurassic Blitz took place on the 30th January with another excellent turnout of 14 players. The tournament had a very close finish with 4 players ending up on 4.5/6 - a four way tie. With the number of winners exceeding the number of prizes it was agreed to play a sudden death 3 min playoff to whittle the 4 down to 2 and Steve Dean and Paul Hampton both from Seaton managed to win their games to take the prizes.
