There was a tense final to the first ever Seaton versus Sidmouth Challenge, a new event created to celebrate the close ties between the two clubs. The competition involves as many players as each club can muster on the day and this year, there were 11 boards in action. It was a close fought affair with it going down to the last board to decide the result.
Seaton won the match 6.5 v 4.5 and win the Martyn Adams trophy, a prize specially created for the event in honour of Martyn Adams, a longstanding member of Sidmouth Club, who sadly passed away last year.
Congratulations to Seaton and thanks to Sidmouth for hosting the event - until next year!
